So what happens after 30 days?
If they have not supplied the goods after 30 days, and have not discussed the delay with you, then they have broken the contract.
But as said above, there is no contract in place yet.
Or perhaps you mean what do you need to do if after thirty days you still have not received your refund?
You could perhaps talk to your card issuer or start small claims court action.
How long should a refund take?
A few days.
Is there alimit?
Yes, there is a limit... 30 days.
I am trying to find out if it isworth holding out or to push as the item I am trying to get is under-priced.
The information I supplied earlier should've helped you with that.
Please ask further questions if you are still unsure.
If... if they do not spot their mistake I want to be able to know the bestcourse of action.
Surely if they do not spot their mistake, the goods will arrive.
Do you need to do anything then?
Or am I missing something?0 -
After 30 days you can demand a refund from the company (Distance Selling Regs). If they refuse (or ignore your request), then try credit card company etc.
Sure you can keep on waiting and hope they send you the item. But if the price is a mistake, then they won't be able to source it at the right price, they will end up cancelling.
While you are waiting, there is always a risk the company might go bust. Perhaps unlikely, but what if you are dealing with a fly by night website?
So it may be worth waiting a bit, but at some stage (perhaps after 30days) you may want to give up and just get your money back.0 -

So I could advertise a product online at a price that would be hard to refuse.
Thousands of people send me their hard earned cash I then put it in my high interest account for 30 days.
I send people their money back but keep the interest? if it's that simple then something needs to be done about it.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0 -

Thanks for the replies and the direction to most of my answers.
So what happens after 30 days? How long should a refund take? Is there alimit? Can I ask for compensation?
Gavin 83 - thanks for the reply but you missed the point. Yes I could goelsewhere but it will be far more expensive. I've looked at several sites reviewing their customer service, mostly 1/2out of 5 so I’m not too overly optimistic!
They don't have to honour it - for God's sake read the links you've been given.
This has already been asked TODAY - use the Search function to see if anyone else has asked the same question to avoid having to wait for (the same) answers.
You won't get the drive, you can't force them to, you'll get a refund. End of. And no, there is nothing you can do about it. It's a mistake, they happen.
Their 1/2 out of 5 rating is probably from genuine complaints, I sell hardware online and if you'd bought from me I wouldn't send it either. Just a refund and all other correspondence filed under 'bin'.0 -

I would think that every question could be answered if we used the search button but that then would mean the site would become stale. Q1 No you cannot demand that price is honoured.
Q2 -No you are not able to ask for 'compensation'.
But even though you ask and demand you will not necessarily get either compensation or the original price honoured.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
It never ceases to amaze me about the trivial things that lead to demands of compensation. People should really start to consider whether it is wise for them to even leave the house if they are incapable of accepting a refund without compensation.
Take your money and buy it elsewhere. You have already mentioned on a number of occasions that you believe the item was prices unbelievably low so you haven't lost out on anything.0 -

Sorry
q1 - you can demand it's honoured - they can refuse to honour it.
q2 - You can ask for compensation. They can refuse to compensate you (I assume, in this instance, OP means compensation over and above a refund).
