EON blatant lies
I'm in the process of switching from EON to EDF. My Saveonline 9 tariff with EON ends today, and they're automatically switching me to their Energyonline tariff, which will increase my bills by £197 per year at my current usage. I'm therefore in the process of switching to EDF's Blue Price Promise tariff.
I've just received a phone call from a woman at EON, warning me that numerous customers have left and returned to EON after moving to the EDF Blue Price Promise tariff. She warned me that I should "be very careful" as the move will increase yearly bills by over £100 a year. She neglected to mention that this is based on my current tariff which ends today and is no longer available though, and this increase would almost be doubled if I remained with EON.
It's disgraceful that EON employees should be misleading customers like this. How many other people has this woman mislead and conned into remaining with EON to their financial detriment.
Perhaps the EON customer services representative would like to comment? Should I be reporting this to OFGEM
