Halifax Reward Current AC

If I open up the above account will just transferring money into it from my Lloyds account (and maybe back again) count towards the £1000 a month min pay in?

And, just as importantly, is it free and instant (or more or less instant) to transfer money between bank accounts at different banks.

I filled out the name and address bit and they said I have to goto a branch with passport and utility bill. I didn't even get to the other details. Is this because I have had 3 address' in 3 years?

My wife and I set up a Halifax reward account and had to go into branch to verify address - have been at same address for 5 years and we are on electoral roll etc...

My cynical side says that they just try to get you in branch to sell additional services...

I had to do that and they didn't attempt to sell me anything at all. Presumably they just haven't been able to ID you well enough electronically (as I'm sure you know, there are very strict ID rules banks must follow due to money laundering etc.).
