Tesco car insurance £50 offer and warning

If you are buying through the tesco bank website ( not the tesco comparison) they are offering a £50 tesco fuel voucher to all clubcard holders as long as you enter both your clubcard number and the promo code Fuel50 when you get the quote.

WARNING:- I nearly took out the value car insurance instead of the standard(price difference around £7). On the surface the only difference in cover seemed the lack of windscreen and personal belongs cover on the value. However, once you have selected the cover on the next page IF you click on the show Excess button the difference becomes clear.
The compulsary excess for value was £475
The Compulsary excess for standard was £0 for accident and £100 for fire and theft.
This was not clear on the website as the example only shows £100 excess and can easily be mistaken. The button does not need to be clicked on it is optional to see it. :mad:
