DH started a new job in February with a basic salary. Now the company are introducing profit share, where employees will receive a lump sum at the end of the tax year according to performance etc.We have given the TC office his basic salary which they are using to calculate this years award. We have NO clue how much the profit share amount will be.We spoke to TC and they said we would have to give the years salary inc bonus next April but couldn't tell us what any increase will mean.
So does anyone know?If DH gets a decent bonus will we end up having to repay all of the years award or will they just stop payments? How much can your income rise by before any award is affected? Many thanks in advance~just worrying about this x

When you get your 2007-2008 award notice it will tell you what income the award is based on. It will also give you another income figure and if your joint income goes above this then your entitlement will be affected/reduced.
In 2006-2007 if your income rose by more than £25,000 then your entitlement would be reduced. I don't know yet what the figure will be for 2007-2008.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
we had a profit share from our company about 18 months ago and so it didn't involve the tax man they showed it as other sources so none of us would get hit.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0
