    Hi,

Thanks SL - I'll factor that in into my planning...

If I remember correctly, the SIPP is only fully underwritten for 85k cash (FSCS) and a further 50k shares (can't remember where that is from)

Interesting times coming up politically, methinks

    Hi all,

Apologies for not putting in any updates in the last few weeks. Had a crash on the bike last week and have been hobbling around since then and not doing much. Fortunately, nothing of mine broken (after x-rays) - just the bike, although I've been in considerable pain.

Aim to get everything ship shape over the coming week and then getting back on track from there...

    Seconded ;).

Hope your bruises are healing, I must admit I would be far too scared to ride a bike on public roads .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Well, it looks like a may be mortgage-free or at least mortgage-lighter sooner than expected because I'm splitting up with my OH and selling my forever home with its big chunky mortgage. Sad, but we're financially incompatible (alongside an ever increasing list of other incompatibles) and he just spends and spends whilst I subsidise his, and his children's when they're here, living costs with a beautiful house.

I'm hoping to buy an easy-to-care-for apartment in a city centre somewhere which will be a change from this place with a big garden to look after - time for a new lease of life :-).

So, feeling brave, and hoping someone is going to come along and pay lots of money for this place, which may even allow me to buy without a mortgage. Fingers crossed for some good luck.
