I have recently received back after 45 days from the initial complaint from my credit card company the full amount for a faulty unregistered scooter and it was agreed between the supplier and the credit card company that the scooter would be collected by the supplier on a date agreed by the supplier and myself.
Unfortunately the supplier arrived to collect without suitable transport or lifting equipment nor did the driver have any form of collection note indicating the supply company's details or exonerating me from any liability after the scooter left my premises so I was asked to write my own out which I refused.
The suppliers head office were contacted and the company refused to issue a collection note via email for signature by both parties and then told their driver to go.
I have now received a court summons from the supplier charging me with recovery of the full cost of the scooter and failed collection charges plus costs.
I still have the scooter repacked in original casing and stored safely in my garage,
but uninsured, which I am desperate to get rid of.
Where do I stand.
Regards
