what should i do with default in my credit report

I recently had a look with my credit report in creditexpert,
i have been checking it every 3 month since 3 years ago
there was no problem before
but I found this is new account in my Account information
it is from virgin media ,showing i missing payment for last 5 years for 14 pounds
I checked address it was where i lived 5 years ago, i rented a room when i was a student, i have not sign contract with virgin media ,because i only lived there for 3 month, the other tennat had contract with virgin media.:mad:
I have sent 3 letters to virgin media to explain for last 2 months but I never received any replies and also the record is still in my credit report.:eek:
please give advice I want to buy house next year worrying it will affect my mortgage

Alternatively use the dispute process in CreditExpert - not that they are much use. Alternatively a Data Protection Act complaint usually gets the most attention as well (processing data without consent; processing incorrect personal data). Send to:
