Did you tell them he has a knife as that should have them round there in a flash.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

I think I remember you from before. Sorry youre still having problems with him.
I would shut the curtains and not answer the door and chances are he'll wander off home. Was he living in a car or something like that before?1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31

If he's still there call the police again and say he has a knife and has threatened a passer by.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
 Did you impress upon the police that he is in a public street with a knife??? That is against the law AFAIK. Or did they get the wrong end of the stick that this is 'just' a domestic?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Next time, don't say it's your ex.
Just say there's a man in the street with a knife.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
...I really don't care if he dies or not...if I say the wrong thing and he does do it, is there any comeback on me?
You sound charming, what a catch you are. Is it only me that finds this completely self-centered? The fact that you say "if..he does do it" shows that you are worried that he might actually do it - but you're worried for yourself!
Look, I appreciate he is being a complete pain and you don't 'owe' anything to him, but he clearly has mental health issues that need sorting out.
Why don't you try doing this. Next time he does kick off - ignore him - you're right to say that, if you give him attention, you're essentially rewarding this behaviour. When he gets bored - and this might sound crazy - wait a few days until he calms down and phone him and talk to him calmly about how he should seek help.
Do you have a mutual friend that you could talk to? What is/was your relationship like with his mother - perhaps you should call her.
EDIT: You do actually sound pretty funny, to be fair, good wit. I appreciate it is probably hard to feel sorry and compassion for someone who is causing you a hard time.0 -

What a fantasitic idea! Lie to the police and get done for wasting police time. How clever. Agree with the person who says "just say there's a man in the street with a knife" - that isn't a lie.
How old are you and - more importantly - your boyfriend. What is his background like?
You should probably get in contact with him and tell him that you'll be forced to call the police if he presents a knife again - if that threatens, for example, his job then he might think twice and realise that he is screwing his life up here.0 -
Let him? It's hardly going to be a great loss to the world and it might save the NHS a bit if you wait until he's finished to call anyone. I don't know if I'm joking or not.0

Sqeeky has already spent years trying to help this character who doesn't want to be helped and who will resort to all kinds of blackmail to try to continue freeloading emotionally and financially. It took a lot of soulsearching and courage for her to break free of this leech.
Months later, he's back, trying to threaten suicide, again, and yet again, he's not harmed himself.
Sqeeky, the police will not help if you say your abusive ex is back trying to get attention, but they will pay attention if you say that there's a man waving a knife about on the street. Unfortunately, they get too many partners who don't press charges, so they take incidents classified as "domestics" with a pinch of salt.
Well done on your response to him, it's the appropriate sane response to someone who has cried "wolf" as many times as he has.0 -
I just read some of the OP's past posts. If he is does not have a personality disorder I am a monkey's uncle, there is no way that level of lying and manipulation is 'just' addiction. So pleased you escaped, Sqeeky.
