I have gas CH and a gas fire in the lounge. I have just changed to an electric cooker (because I left the house after putting a casserole in the oven - forgot to press the ignition and came home to a gas--filled kitchen). I am now wondering whether to install a 2Kw heater on the wall as an alternative/addition to the gas fire.
I should mention that I have a 4Kw solar panel installation on the roof and get some electricity free in decent weather conditions and my house has double glazing, loft insulation to latest standards and full cavity wall insulation, but the lounge faces North and is the coldest room.
I would be grateful for any opinions/suggestions.
Thank you,
Alan
