leaseholder. Accounts. Management fees

The landlord of our complex of apartments and townhouses is also the management company and we are all leaseholders. He is a one man band. The complex is not finished ie the manor house is in the process of conversion into apartments so the builders are very much present. We all live in an attached development

We have paid full management charges for the two years that we have been here, even though we are without some of the amenities such as the bowling green, reading room, sun terrace etc

We have been given very cursory, ie the minimal, accounts for the last year only we also pay into a sinking fund and there is nothing specific in the accounts about this

Would some kind soul please tell us how much detail we have a right to expect

The only leasehold property I've owned where we weren't responsible for maintenance ourselves, we were provided with an exact list of what had been spent on what through the year, including how much the accountants charged to compile the list!

THe management company have to compile full accounts for HMRC and companies house, so a list of expenditure to leaseholders should be available.
