afternoon all
happy birthday MMW (i think?)
thanks to purd for advice RE Leo, boyfriend came over and got him to sleep in five minutes, couldnt believe it smug sod lol.
Took leo to doctors yesterday about his nappy rash doctor told me "should have bought him here sooner its very infected" i eplained i thought it was normal nappy rash and was just trying to get it under control myself but he was annoyed.
he then told me leo is obese and he wants to weigh him so got him on scales and he was 25kg (4stone) doctor said he is far to overweight and i explained hes always been big since he was born and said apart from sweets sometimes like i think most kids have he sometimes only drinks milk and wont even touch his dinner etc, i dont fill him up with rubbish but doctor made me feel like the worst person alive, i asked him for advice then got told social services are going to want to know what i'm doing to him to make him like this if there is nothing wrong with his glands etc, i dont really know what else he said my head was spining after this he made it sound like leo was going to get taken off of me for being over weight
walked back to where mum was and just broke down couldnt breath felt like i was dying, felt like i was going to collapse infront of everyone.mum told me to write everything i give him down and see if maybe i realise "oh he is having that too much" etc but i just feel so bad i havent stopped crying all night i dont know what to do i dont want them to take my boy from me
Oh Tricia I hope I can help a bit. I had a something like this with DS but mine started off because I'd taken him to A&E twice in 9 months. He was bitten by the hamster - I couldn't remember if he'd had tetanus jab. Then he fell off a slide in mums and tots. I was told be docs that social services would be told too.
what I done was get onto my health visitor and tell her what was said. She was great she told SS that everything was fine. Maybe you should do the same if you have a good relationship with your health visitor. I did end up with her coming to my house a few times over a couple of months just to keep an eye on things but that was much better than a Social worker because DH hated them for what they done to him and our health visitor knew this.
I think you should write down what you feed him too, sometimes we don't realise what we're feeding them or the portion size is too big. My mum used to feed DS from the same size plate as adults and I noticed the portion size getting bigger so got a kids plate (could use side plate) and got her to use it for him.
Also is he due a growth spurt? Only asking because DS used to get very podgie then shoot up in the space of a week or so.
I hope this helps somehow, thinking about you. XxxSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Update:
I can vouch for the usefulness of the Asda app. Dead easy to input details for the voucher to pop up clearly on the screen. I am definitely gonna use this if there is a dispute!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
