Make sure you carry a pair of tweezers to pull receipts thru tight spots and essential a spare pound for trolley so that you can play trolley tetris it's frustrating at first cos you never seem to get the right trolley but after a while you get the hang of it and usually put your pound in the right one:Tgood luck!We are many we are one xxx
So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.0 -
Bless him!
I remember when I had my DD, I already had two boys and on the way home I made OH take me to tesco so I could get a big pink blanket for her, as everything I had was blue/neutral.
I can tell you, its not easy walking round a massive tesco after a caesarian, thank goodness for trolleys to lean on!
I can really relate to you on this one, I too decided I wanted everyone to know we had a boy and just HAD to go to Ts next to where I used to work, to get one before I went home and also to show him off. :rotfl:
I think the worst thing was feeling like your booblies were attached to your knees :rotfl: thankfully that wore off the more I walked.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Was annoyed/upset in work today. It was announced to everyone that we would need to have a tight budget this academic year due to sickness last year. I know it might not have been aimed only at me but it has really upset me, I was off due to my mother being critical for weeks in hospital and than dying, then within a couple of weeks of going back to work (and my mother's death) my FIL died and I was feeling so guilty over the time I had taken off during my mothers illness that I only took 3 days leave despite being devastated.
I have wotked there for 6 years and had never ever had even an hour off before, I know we needed to be told perhaps that the budget was tight this year but I think that it was really insensitive to say it was due to sickness.
I am probably being over sensitive, there were a couple of other people who had time off too for various reasons so probably not solely directed at me.
Sorry for waffling or bringing thread down.
Hugs (()) and it sounds like things are still so raw for you, it was a really difficult time for you and as my own father is ill I can understand how you feel.
I am sure it was not just directed at you but it was clearly insensitive. Though I am sure it was not meant to be.
You need to take time to heal and come to terms with your loss, everyone is different and you need to find your own way to get through this.
I don't want to speak out of turn here and I know I am only a newbie but have you spoken with a bereavment counsellor or someone else that can help you through this time?
It clearly and understandably is still troubling you very much, perhaps if you haven't already then it may be something to help you through this very distressing time.
I only mean the above with good intentions and I realise that I don't know you so to speak, but it really does upset me if people are troubled and are struggling.
Please do take care and look after yourself. :A

Just spent that £10.50 voucher in A......quite an embarrassing experience! I went to the SS tills and everything went through fine, the cashier scanned the voucher no problem (without marking the receipt..) but the machine ran out of paper!!! I waited around for ages for him to fix it, calling over other people, until he finally worked out how to reprint my receipt!
Two questions:
1 - Will this re-print of the receipt work on the price gaurantee?
2 - More of a cheeky question, but because the voucher was over £10 and not marked, can I use it again by re-printing it and showing the original receipt?!
Hope this helps someone! Will most my next shop which was trying out other various shampoo products in 2 and half hours time!Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000
