Good morning everybody, thank you for the new thread have only just caught up. Sat here waiting for to hear from the vet's. Came home yesterday after being out for 2 hours finishing my Christmas shopping and my greyhound was limping around. After an hour started shivering like he had the flu and then refused to eat any dinner. Got him to vet's last night and he kept him in to do x-rays. Worst case he has broken his toe and will need to be amputated:(:(Now on the 5:2 diet.

I love the buz of doing a targeted shop, though I cant bring myself to so the carrot, onion things, I just buy things I will use on a normal shop.
Once at the tills though I cant wait to get out of the shop.
The other night the SA held the queue up while she told me about how to use the 5 beans!!!
They can be used free in sliming world , and she gave us 3 different casserole ways of using them. I had just though chilli, so have more ideas now. I think they would also work in a soup???
I don't like normal baked beans, but I'm going to try washing the sauce off the beanz and making a SW friendly savoury mince type mixture with the very low fat minced beef. Sort of like chilli, but with paprika instead, and some chopped carrots, onion, peppers and celery. Then serve it with rice, pasta or over a baked potato.0 -

To be fair I wouldn't bother washing the sauce off. Makes a nice sauce for the chilliI am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Wine not working?0
-
Re the red wine. We were not too sure when we opened a bottle 2 nights ago but last night, having been opened a day and also it was fridged so we drank it cold and it was fine.
I think what has happened is that we have been spoilt. When the wine festivals were on we stocked up on the more expensive red wines in the £5 to £9 range - double discounted, 25% off and also whatever the other discount was 2 for £10/£3 for £12 or whatever so that brought better quality reds down to under £3 a bottle. We are just not used to the more bog standard under a fiver bottles.
But at this price we just have to get on with it and get used to it
I sent an email to the contact address on the webpage of our local foodbank in development and got an reply. Ours is being launched in December but from September they are taking in donations. So I now have an official reason to step up the collection of beans :T
Back at lunchtime to see if the wine/tk is still working“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
