what she said :D:D:D well put

Fudge you are an :A and just how you find the words to support others with all you have to put up with puts me to shame!

Spirallingdown......you are amazing - such strength - I pray your journey takes you onwards and upwards ....are you all settled in your home now? I remember how difficult it was for you at times for you and DS with no space of your own.

3Dogs- your kindness and strength never ceases to amaze me.....but as we have all said all along- you MUST take care of yourself....hope you are feeling a bit better today and that you manage to rest.......you are always in our thoughts and prayers :A

Claire- you did the right thing and that was very brave.........now you have to continue with that bravery xxxx we are here whenever you need to rant or need a hug
    xx

We are fairly settled in our house thank you. Just have loads of boxes to go through, most of which are DHs stuff. Have tried to go through them but have been stopped in my tracks every time by something or other bringing up memories and end up a blubbering mess :o
I've still got to wire in my cooker, I've got as far as buying the wire, stripping it but not as far as putting that wire into the cooker or wall :rotfl:
Planning to sort out the few boxes in the sitting room some time this week. Thankfully they're at one end so not in the way just makes the place look messy :p
    Thanks for asking calmspirit

    Morning all:D

I just wanted to update all those who kindly pm'd me vouchers for my charity night last night.

I am not sure why I feel such a failure, given the result:(:( My own family let me down (but what did I really expect) and the turnout could have been better, but the chilli went down a storm with baked potatoes and lurpak;););), the comedienne and the pianist were fab:T, and the vodka jelly awesome!!!!!

We made £903:D:D, but I still feel like I failed, I couldn't even face going to work today:(:(

Sorry I didn't mean to moan!

OMG how is that failure??? You have done an amazing job and should give yourself a HUGE pay on the back.

Organising charity nights is bloody hard work. I did one a few years ago and I was so busy running around with the organising that I didn't have chance to sit down and soak it all in and enjoy it

But the feeling of taking £800+ into NICU the next day was something else entirely.

As you start hearing other peoples stories of last night, you will realise just what a good job you did

    Be proud of yourself :)

  • Morning (kind of!) Will catch up on the reading in a sec but wanted to say glad fourp is home safe and hugs to spiralng down and fairclaire xx

I know I'm new on here but my heart goes out to you guys.. and I know my story is nowhere close to the level of yours fairclaire and you've had overwhelming support on here but I have to say IMO you did right. I have bi polar and if my family hadn't eventually intervened and said enough is enough, your getting help... I wouldn't be here right now, near enough recovered and actually happy! which I spent 10 years convinced wasn't an option, self harm and suicide attempts ritually. I hated them for getting in my way at the time but gosh I am blessed now and trying to make it up to them. My depression is probably a drop in the ocean compared to what he is going through mentally but there will my times when it looks like your just torturing him (like not even letting him have a cigerrette on his own) but it will pay off when he can overcome the mental destruction in his head and start to see hope.

Love goes out to you guys xxx
