Hi all, currently on British Gas electric only Online Energy tariff. We have economy 7 in our home. Our usage is as follows for the past 12 months:
Day rate Kwh = 2382
Night rate Kwh = 7733

I have put our details into uswitch and npower Bill Saver November 2013 came up as cheapest with £166 saving.
ScottishPower Online Fixed Price Energy January 2014 came out as second cheapest at £139 savings.

I have however heard things about this EDF tariff which does not feature on my list. I am uncertain what to go for. I would like to switch if I can save money and maintain a good service, pay by direct debit and have good online features.

Most of this is new to me so any help you can offer would be great. Need my hand holding through the process :D

  • Well the good thing About the EDF Blue + Price Promise is it is fixed until 2014. Remember that's not your DD. no early termination fees if you decide to leave.
    According to ABBA apparently it's a rich mans' world . . .:p
  • Has been pulled from comparison sites so may need to act fast if you do it. Here is some more info. http://my.edfenergy.com/gas-electricity/blue-plus-price-promise

Thanks, just looked and I would save £117 per year with EDF. I will also have a look at the other tariffs with British gas. If I am honest I like British gas for some reason. I like the online account functions. If there was not much in it I would not move.
  • Worth looking as all tariffs affect people in different ways due to usage. Do consider factoring in not only the current tariff but if not fixed what the increase could be. Also I would call them, tell them you are seriously considering moving due to the savings. They will be aware of EDF's tariff and maybe able to offer you an incentive to stay which isn't offered online. They were doing credits to accounts for new customers so maybe possible they could offer you something along those lines?
