Sun Life With Profits Policy

Fifteen years ago I took out a Sun Life with profits life policy, which is due to mature in the next few weeks. I had a letter from Sun Life this morning telling me how much the payout will be - it doesn't even cover the amount I've paid in. does this sound about right?

Yep i'm afraid so, i had same policy mature this year, paid out just over £500, premium over 15 years was £900.0

The plan was already obsolete when you bought it. That didnt help. However, the events of the last few years have really hit those types of plans hard.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
