Cheap tablet help please

Hi everyone,
I would like to buy my young daughter a tablet of some kind for her birthday. for the past week i have looked at what seems like hundreds but I am not very technical minded so i am getting rather confused and wondered if anyone could advise please?

all i would like it to do/have is:

decent battery life, possibly 4 hours +
wifi
be able to download programmes for her to watch or watch on you tube?
be able to play games
easy to use (she can use my samsung android smartphone with not too many problems)
price preferably less than £100, the cheaper the better if it ticks all my boxes

thank you for any help x

    What about this - http://www.ebuyer.com/386278-sumvision-astro-7-tablet-pc-astro-7

I have the equivalent (paid more than this though last year :( ) and it's fine for Facebook, you tube, iplayer etc. Runs Android so is similar to most Android phones.

Can recommend ebuyer too - used them for years and the tablet gets good reviews - certainly worth consideration at the asking price.

  • I've had a blackberry playbook for a few months now and found it to be very useful. The 64gb version is now on PC World for £129 which could be decsribed as a bargain, paid £199 for my 32gb version in Feb.

Does all the things you listed, not a huge number of apps compared with Android and Apple but techie people describe a process of side loading apps from the Android marketing so that might be a solution.

I got mine from Amazon its called a Wendy Lou Android Tablet, it cost under £100 and it does almost everything an ipad does. If you type the name in at Amazon it will come up for you.

Possibly no good for the op as battery life doesn't meet requirements but wondered what anyone thought of this NATPC M009S £59.99 + £4.59 UK deliveryfor the price. Looks to have plenty of good reviews.

Might be the one referred to by previous post, though Wendy Lou is just the sellers trading name and has several tablets.

I've just bought a BB PlayBook fro £129.
My first impressions are that (a) it has a quality feel to it, (b) it does what it says on the tin, (c) it is a bit uninspiring, (d) I would beware of using it for sites that you sign in to as it may not logout and so the next person who picks it up may have your access.

QVC or Ideal World tv channels have been selling various ones from under £100+ and they come with freebies.Check out there websites if you don't have those channels.
