hi, im looking for advise regards life insurance and what type of policy is right for me.
Im 46 yr old have a medical condition called ankylosing spondilitis which involves me taking various tablets etc and having ongoing treatment as an out patient, the type of cover im after is to take care of funeral cost etc in the event of my death in the hopefully distant future,im struggling to understand all the various policies and which one is suitable and will pay out enough to cover these type of costs guaranteed, any advise gratefully accepted,i understand ill probably need it to be underwritten and be done by a specialist broker/firm but what policy will do this for me,thanks

You can speak to funeral directors, they usually have something like that? Im not sure how much their value for money is though as ive never done anything like that.
Whole of Life plans would also do what your after but again they arnt the best value for money.
You can also get term assurance but this would only pay otu fi you died within the set period of time...1 day later and you wouldnt be able to claim.
Might be worth a chat with a financial advisor as there are a lot of different options. In the main i only write term assurance and family income benefit, im not sure either of these are entirely what your looking for.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. hi, im looking for advise regards life insurance and what type of policy is right for me.
Advice on life assurance is a regulated activity and the board is not authorised to give advice. Just discussion and comment.but what policy will do this for me
Most types that you would expect to be available will be available to you. It is more about which provider. For that, you should seek a local IFA. Ideally, you should make them aware in advance of your medical condition and then refer it directly to the underwriters to see what their opinion would be if they received an application or it may need to be referred to one of the specialist life assurance companies for them to consider.
It will be difficult to say which until medical details were known and what your needs are but they exist and most local IFAs should be able to handle this sort of transaction.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
