Changes in std charges - how do I calculate

I am at a loss. After calculating if it's worth changing from my SWALEC fxd plan to a 2yr capped and incurring charges I decided to discuss with my friendly SWALEC call centre person to be told that standard charges are all changing so my calculations are now nul and void.
So, how do I possibly make a choice now as to whether or not to switch if I don't know if other providers will be changing too or is this just a smoke screen.
????????

Use a comparison site.
It will include any standing charges currently applicable (but will not include any early exit fees that may apply to you)
On a fixed rate tariff the standing charges will not change over the term, and on a capped rate tariff the standing charges will not increase (from their current value) over the term.0 -
I would suggest using the tariff charges on their website and using the comparison sites.
You could also speak to them again. Its strange that a call centre advisor knows of a price change to come as they are highly confidential changes and suppliers roll briefs out to their staff on the launch days to prevent leaks to the media. Or are the prices updated so you had used some old ones?:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
Swalec are part of SSE I believe, in which case they announced a 9% hike in prices last week. No doubt though the rest will follow.0
