Not receiving a Very order??

Options
Hi I was just wondering if there was anyone who could please give me some advice. I made a order with Very on July 13th, a week or so later I went to track the order online ( hadn't done it earlier as had tonsillitis and couldn't speak to anyone!) and it said that my order had been delivered to a neighbour on the 16th, it stated the neighbours house number and the time it was apparently signed for. This is what I find strange is that it says it was delivered to a house that is half way down my road on the other side, so quite far away considering they usually just throw it in our porch?? I have spoken to the lady at the number given and they have not received anything and would have brought it up if they had. When I then spoke to Very the first time the woman told me to double check with the neighbour and if there was no sign of it the issue would be passed onto track and trace. I checked again with the neighbour and again with the others in my house but nothing had been received. I again phoned Very and the lady again took all the details of my problem and she said it would go to track and trace and they would be in touch with me and let me know what is going on. This was about 3 weeks now and not a peep out of anyone so I phoned Very back again this morning and she put me on hold while she looked over the account details and came back to say that because the parcel had been signed for there is not much that can be done but she would put a rush on track and trace and tell them that the issue has still not been resolved so that they could contact me. We live on a road with a school so I don't know if the delivery driver has just let some random person take it off their hands but surely they should be knocking on doors! Also being as I was off work and at home no one tried our house and it is just grieving me that I know that they are more than likely going to do nothing about it and I will end up paying for goods so it doesnt damage my credit! I had a problem with them when it was Additions where they sent me a signature that had signed for something and I had to send them signatures of everyone in the house that looked nothing like the squiggle they sent me but even after proving it was none of ours they just said well it was signed for and I had to pay. Also it's annoying that there are people I know that regularly claim things weren't delivered - when they were - and get them replaced straight away and then I genuinely haven't received anything but still get charged!

sorry I haven't time to read your post properly as dashing out the door. Think you're on the wrong forum so unlikely to get replies here. Try one of the shopping or consumer rights type forums - not sure which one as rarely go on there.

    Hi Riggins,

Welcome to MSE. :) I've moved your thread over to the consumer rights board where you are more likely to get advice on what to do next.

doesn't surprise me - a christmas, two years ago i ordered a ps3 game from them, Which then didn't arrive - when i queried it with them they said that the order had been cancelled as someone had been trying to use my details fraudulently to order said game. No-one had bothered to contact me about it before they cancelled it - was so miffed as nearly didn't have a christmas present for someone. After that I asked them to remove every trace of me from their system - I have and will never use them again!

Tell them you wish to cancel the order and for a refund to be issued.
