Bryando, please don't worry about what "stallion" has said, many people have said that he is an alter ego, and just posts to wind people up. I think he used to be called andyandflo?0

A decision maker (and later a tribunal if you go that far) has a legal obligation to consider ALL evidence submitted in support of a claim/appeal so send everything you have.
Then they have to weigh up the evidential value to determine which they prefer and they have to have good reasons for preferring one piece of evidence over another.
If someone says something that is implausible then this will not be given much weight however if someone takes time out of their day to come and assist with your care needs then this carries weight (why would someone do this if it you could manage it yourself?) as it is likely to be reasonably required which is the legal requirement for DLA.
Send everything, the more information a decision maker. tribunal has the better the picture they have of your life.0 -
Thanks. I really don't know why this has made my mood drop and constanlty stressing of appearing at a tribunal. As I said before the decision letter stated the information obtained did not fully justify the last claim.0

OFC They sent the doc out. But you're saying people shouldn't have family to support their claim. The more info you can give them, the better your case4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

Ask any welfare rights adviser or appeals representative and they will agree.
My last DLA renewal was done purely on my application pack and a supporting statement from my partner.
As someone that supports people with DLA claims on a weekly basis I would agree with the above. I find it very useful at tribunals and also in initial applications.Baby Mazza due New Years Day 2013!0 -
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

And that is why they check with the family. As I previously said, they called me to see what help I actually gave my daughter. I have no problem doing this. I also kept in touch with them regarding her condition while we were awaiting the decision due to her dislocating more joints while waiting. Any supporting evidence will be looked at. But then I could be lying, but so could you be right now. Who's to know on a forum. I know what I have to do for my daughter, given that she's steadily going downhill. We knew it was coming, but expected another few years before it hit so bad. Doc expected it at the age of 30, hit dd at 21.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
