Selling iPhone given offer - dodgy?

Hi
I've got my old iPhone 3G 8GB listed as faulty.
Someone has offered me a good price if I'll sell it now, will pay PayPal, he seems to be a seller of old iPhones and parts etc.
He has 400 feedbacks about 94% positive.
Does this sound dodgy at all? Any advice not to get scammed?
I've read about people losing their money and phone!

You have the same issues whether you sell it through paypal or off ebay so making you a crafty offer doesn't make the buyer any more dodgy.
Either way you need to understand the usual requirements for postage and safety.
One thing I often check out though is feedback left for other people- although if you sell 'off ebay' (which is of course against the rules) they would not be able ot leave feedback. I would also be concerned that as a seller he has such appalling feedback- often poor sellers make poor buyers as well and I actually tend not to want to deal with poor sellers. usually we don't get the chance as sensible sellers seperate their buying and selling accounts- but on this occasion you can see what sort of seller he is.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. He/She does seem to have a real mix of feedback, it all seems to be refurbished smart phones he is selling.
If I send the item RM Special Delivery that would cover any query on it not being received but is there anything else I should do to safeguard the sale?The Best Things in Life Are Free0 -
If he pays by Paypal before you ship it, I do not see the risk you have? Paypal will protect you and insure against fraud.
It will be the same when doing it via Ebay, just that you have more fees to pay.0 -

Make a note of the imei number in case buyer returns a different phone at a later date.0
