Having tried various numbers to get through to EDF c/s I am fed up of waiting,its all automated now.Before you could just dial the switchboard and get put straight through.
I am trying both on the landline using 0800 056 7777 and have tried various landline numbers from saynoto0870.com and they are all automated.
And they call this progress. !!!!

That's the number I use, I've only ever had to wait ~5 minutes.
Have you tried the live chat? I don't think they can answer account specific questions though:
