Consent to Let with GE Money

Hi,
We are in the process of temporarily relocating, and require a consent to let from our current mortgage lender on our flat (this is with GE Money).
We have requested this consent a few weeks ago, of which they required cheques for their processing and admin fee, and for their solicitors fees. They also requested a template of the tenancy agreement that we would be using for our potential tenants. We have provided this all to them together with a shorthold tenancy agreement. Only now for them to have rejected our offer, as our request to them did not state that this would be for a limited time only.
We have sent them another letter stating that this would only be for 6 - 12 months, until we can get a BTL mortgage or sell the property.
Any ideas on what else we can do in order to get the CTL agreement for them? Has anyone else had dealings with GE Money regarding this?
Many thanks!

GE Money are a sub-prime lender and you're not going to be rushing them to do anything. They're not the fastest of companies unfortunately.0

Thanks
Just wondering what the likelihood is to getting this CTL agreed from them is...?0 -
I'm hoping to do this myself in the very near future. Have you had any luck with them?
What are their criteria for agreeing and giving you the consent?
Is it a no go without a limitation on the time?0
