I'm 'pretty' sure that the ones I get from M&S are gluten free. I've not got any in at the moment so I can't check for you and I'm not working for the next few days.
They are over 90% pork and they have a blue label on them. They do cost £1.99 for a pack of 8 though.

I pay that anyway as I buy free range, if you could let me know when you next get them would be fab for next time she visits. :)

Well I will probably be going into a store tomorrow as I'm meeting a friend in town and I have some &More vouchers to spend so I will check for you then.

I just want to be safety Billy and add that it is worth double checking on all your ingredients as even a small amount might make your guest very poorly.

Once that's out of the way though, I hope you have a great time!

Which is what I spent the whole of yesterday afternoon doing, right down to my jars of dried herbs and spices (schwartz are gluten free, yay!). :)

I'm really looking forward to cooking for her now as she can never get over the fact I make whole dinners that she can eat - no one made the effort for her when she was little, love her, and now shes a student she lives on boiled rice from what I can make out lol!

Hi Kelinik, just got back from M&S. I had a look for you and the sausages that I was talking about are actually £2.19 for 8 sausages that are 454g in weight or £1.29 for 227g.
They are gluten free. They are in a packet with a blue label and they are called Meaty Premium Pork Sausages. They contain 93% British pork.
The other ones which are gluten free are ones that are called Peppery Cumberland Pork Sausages which contain 76% British pork. They also cost £2.19 for 8 sausages. They both have the gluten free symbol on the front of the packet.
All the other ones have gluten in as far as I could see. It clearly states so in the information box though.

I'm sure that some other supermarkets have sausages which are gluten free. I know how hard it is as I had a flatmate who was intolerant and there were so many things she couldn't eat that I just take for granted.
The bigger supermarkets will either have the gluten free symbol or in the information box it will say 'contains gluten.'

Thanks ever so much for that ti1980, looks like a trip to M&S is in order, I take it they will be freezable? I found some 'free from' sausages in Sainsburys but they didn't look very nice tbh!

Awww GR thank you. *blushes* The relative in question is DH's 'little' (we both call her a kid even though she's nearly 20 lol) sister and given that I first met her when she was only 9 and that there have been catastrophic events in his family over the past 5 yrs I'm as protective over her as I am my own sister. Being able to cook some real food for her is the very least I want to be able to do whilst she's with us. :)

Opps waffled a bit there, maybe I'll update with what gluten free recipes turned out well to get back on track lol!

    No problem at all. :)

Yeah they are definitely freezable. They are a 'defrost thoroughly before use and use within one month' job.
Sometimes they go on offer at 2 packs for £3 so I usually wait until they go to that price as I like the Sainsburys ones too but they are not gluten free.
I suppose you might want to try them first though before feeding them to someone else!
