Hi Everyone,
Maybe someone can help.
I am looking for a basic laptop for basic surfing the net with.
Have explored netbooks & tablets, but really need someting of a laptop size and functionality
The one I have seen is http://www.ebuyer.com/294486-asus-k53u-laptop-k53u-sx297v, however not sure if it is any good.
Happy to get one without an OS if it drops the price, but i seem to only see laptops above £250.
The price of the above is £279 and anything just below that price seems to be massively dropping in performance. Happy for a drop in performance, but price must reflect this.
Have looked on the usual suspects such as HDUK, but not seen any real offers out there.
Any suggestions?

If you just surfing web, intel B815 would probably be faster.

Or if you don't mind refurb

None of them are as good as the Toshiba in post #2. You snooze, you lose. I don't think any of the others represent particularly good value.0 -

That's gone
That's why I wrote;You snooze, you lose
When I posted there were still two left.
I don't think the OP wants to spend as much as £280.
There is this Fujitsu AH531 for £270.
But it has much the same spec as the Toshiba did, so the OP probably won't be happy to pay more for much the same thing.0 -

Hi -
Does anybody know how you would return these ( Toshiba ) if there was a problem -
I think you get 7 days to check the item - could you then just return it to your local argos or do you have to pay for yodel to come and pick it up ?0
