Hi all,
I am currently subject to a DRO and have a question I would like some advice on please.
Currently I am unemployed and recieving JSA and Housing benefit that totals £594 a month, after living expenses I have about £30 disposable left over.
I have a friend who may be able to get me part time temporary work at a supermarket for 2 months. If I took this work which I would like to as I have been unemployed with ill health for almost 3 years, then based on my current living expenses I would have about £150 disposable income. BUT I have an old motorbike which is my only means of transport that broke down last week. The garage has quoted £177 to repair it and also I need dental work (fillings) that would total about £100. Without the job it will be impossible on benefit to pay for these things i need done.
If I were to accept this work I could get the bike and teeth fixed, but don't want to jeporadise my DRO if if appears my disposable income has risen considerably. I want to do everything above board but wondered if I would need to declare this increase and whether there are checks, during and at the end of the DRO agreement on your income via your National Insurance number? Would I need to submit receipts for the bike and dental work? Which would not be a problem.
Also my current food and household figure is £100 / month? Could this be increased, as to be honest i think i spend more than this about £150 / month.
Any advice appreciated
Regards

Dental work is free if you are on certain benefits.
