Mis-sold PPI through Estate Agent

Hi all,
Can anyone please point me in the right direction.
I was mis-sold PPI when i took my first mortgage out with Nationwide however the PPI was with Countrywide Assured who was part of Bairstow Eves who sold me the property. I was told that i needed to have to PPI and even got 2 personal ones (one for myself and partner to cover the payments) and also a mortgage PPI to cover the mortgage.
I am not sure who to approach. Nationwide, Bairstow Eves or Countrywide assured.
After the 2 year fixed deal expired and moved property i decided to go with Friends provident as they offered a better deal. Gullible me actually approached them afetr searching online for better quotes! Can i try to reclaim this as well?
Any help much appreciated.

You complain to the seller of the policy. That would be agent. After the 2 year fixed deal expired and moved property i decided to go with Friends provident as they offered a better deal. Cost is not grounds for complaint. Whether or not you had a financial need for the policy is. It is quite probable that the insurances needed to be sold to get the mortgage advice free. Many mortgage advisers work on that model. It is allowed and doesnt make it mis-sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
If you approached them to purchase PPI then it can hardly be mis-sold to you unless they sold you a policy which wasn't suitable for your needs.i decided to go with Friends provident as they offered a better deal. So, for example, if you were sold a policy despite being retired or unemployed or you had a pre-existing medical condition or were self-employed then you have a potential case. However, I would expect the mortgage advisor to have tailored your PPI policy according to your individual stated circumstances, so it's unlikely you will have any chance of success.0
