Had a call from an Indian call Centre, a young lady called "Victoria" was trying to get me to invest in Wells Fargo, quite pushy to...anyone else had this? Thankyou.

Nope. But it sounds like a boiler room type scam to me. Wells Fargo are a reasonably well known US bank; NYSE quoted, Warren Buffett owns a chunk of it. They're probably counting on you having vaguely heard of it so that you can persuaded to send them £x. For which you will receive exactly nothing, of course.0

The people who work in these Indian scam centres must be real thickos. I've had loads of calls from them trying to involve me in a whole range of scams, and they all use names like Max Smith or Bill Robinson or suchlike.
It never seems to cross their tiny minds that rather than be reassured by their Anglo-Saxon sounding names, we might find it ridiculous that someone with that accent can have that name.0 -
At least the Nigerian Scammers have moved on from Wells Fargo.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
