So this may be the reason why the meter is not moving. Everyone on here has stopped using the App in case they get their accounts de-activated. If you look back at the previous Swagbucks thread you should be able to find the post. It did cause quite a stir at the time
Ahh, thanks ever so much. I missed a few weeks swagging as i was moving house. Seems i missed a lot of info! I shall be removing it from my phone in that case. Thanks0 -
Hi paulshorse. Reading back these posts I am also concerned about malware and that comp I did on special offers tab that text and rung me a few times!
With regard to Malware, you do have to be careful when downloading any application as it does quite often contain Adware (someone did say a few days ago that they installed a video player which even though it is a popular player and does not contain adware from the developer's site, it did install adware from the link on the offers page). So, for the small amount of swagbucks that you get from these downloads, I don't think it is worth the risk of getting malware and adware on your computer. With regard to your phone and texts etc. if you give out your number then you are in all likelihood going to get these. If you have an old mobile phone with a pay-as-you go card, then use that number instead and just ignore the texts and phone callsSwagbucks joined 5th July 2012 - Earned 2012: Amazon - £300 - 2013: Amazon - £610

Thanks again paulshorse, your explanation was a great help, I can now see where I've gained my points each time:) I have gained 227 points today, but the 9sb's for the daily target doesn't seem part of it, wonder when that is added?
The daily bonus points are not credited until the following month (around the 5th of the month). So if you hit or exceed the daily goal each day for 7 consecutive days, the following month you will get the daily bonus points for those 7 days, plus an additional 25 SBs (if you look in the My Daily Goal green box you will see the breakdown of how many consecutive days you need to hit the goal to get bonus points). Of course, you don't have to get the goal each day, but if you manage to get the goal for a whole month then you usually get more than 500 SBs which gives you a great start to the following monthSwagbucks joined 5th July 2012 - Earned 2012: Amazon - £300 - 2013: Amazon - £610

paulshorse wrote: »If you only have 702 pts, you don't have enough for Paypal yet. A £5 Paypal gift is 1049 Swagbucks, whereas a £5 Amazon voucher is 849 sb. Most of us start off by redeeming 5 x £5 Amazon vouchers (you can only redeem five of any one denomination of voucher) then move onto the Paypals. It really depends on whether you prefer the cash through Paypal of spending your swagbucks through Amazon.:)
Thanks, I thought I'd read on here that you could earn your first £5 with less SB's needed if you claimed it for Paypal instead of Amazon, but will hold out and try for the next hurdle:)0 -
