Hi all,
I will try and keep this short!!
My lovely wife has a habit of putting letters in draws before i can read them( because they clutter up the house!!)
I have come across a automatic renewal from tesco home insurance which for some unknown reason came with a big increase of the premium, they have already collected the first payment. am I to late to cancel the policy without receiving a massive cancellation fine!!
I haven't sign the credit agreement does that help my cause at all?
Any info would be gratefully received!!

Hi, all you can do is ring the insurer and explain and hope their cancellation fee is within recommended levels ( under £50 ) and also send them proof that you have taken out insurance elsewhere.
Unfortuneately you agreed to automatic renewal when you first took out the insurance last year by clicking 'I agree to the terms and conditions' without actually reading them carefully enough.0 -
I dont see anywhere in the OPs post that they have taken out alternative insurance.
I dont think you will get out of it without a cancellation fee and possibly an admin fee too.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

It doesn't but if he has it may help ! ..... Mr Picky.0 -
Good job there was auto-renewal in this case. If not, and the worst had happened, then a £50 cancellation fee would see a price worth paying.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
