Where to buy quality beds and bedding?

I wasn't sure where to put this, but relationships seems to be the most relevant. I'm in desperate need of a new bed and I have no idea where to look for a decent one.

I've been to the usual bed shops but they don't have what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a UK place that does stuff like this headboard West%2BElm%2Borganic-cotton-pintuck-duvet-cover.jpg

In particular where I could get something like this for bedding -

I have one almost identical. I was initially going to get one from here

    http://www.sofa.com/shop/beds/upholstered-beds

but ended finding what I wanted on Ebay. It was about 18 months ago, so doubt it's there still but it's upholstered in a lovely Designers Guild linen with a fine gold thread running through it. I spent ages looking because I wanted a very tall headboard and most companies didn't go as high as I wanted. I find that Ebay has a lot of people who do upholstery as a hobby/ small business on there and have got some really good deals and they tend to be adaptable on requirements. Sofa.com is also good because they will send you out multiple fabric samples before you buy.

I like House of Fraser for bed linen, they have a good choice online. I've had bed linen with that pinched/ruched effect before but found it didn't hold when it was washed multiple times and ended up looking odd. Kylie Minogue, bizarrely, designs bedlinen through High St. stores and that seems to be very dark and dramatic. No idea what the quality is like, though.

Depends on your budget but 'The White Company' would do beds like that. They might also have that kind of bedding or you could try John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, House of Fraser or Debenhams.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have just been givwn a bed with an upholstered head board my my mother. I have to say i would never choose to buy one. I am worried about head staining every night and am obcessed about making sure no party of our head touches the damn thing. Neither dh or i have greasy hair, but i do go to bed with damp hair often (i know i should not, but have little or no choice) and i also have a fair bit of product in my hair. so when we sit up to read i am never relaxed.

Head grease staining on upholstered head boards makes me feel very, very ill. I like wood which can be cleaned as part of the routine.

I've had mine for more than 18 months and it's immaculate. I did lay my head on it with wet hair once and panicked but the water mark disappeared. I wash my hair every day and go to bed with it wet, I like lots of pillows, so perhaps that makes a difference.

I always buy my bedding from Next (in the boxing day sale @ 1/2 price).

It's a little pricy however great quality - lasts for years looking brand new despite frequent washing.

Just linen are good & there may be some discounts kicking about, might be worth having a look in TKMAXX too if you have 1 near. Not sure about the headboard, have you had a nosy at amazon, they seem too have a lot of headboards.
Found this headboard at wedo headboards lol, it's not the same (or cheap) but it is similar.
    Booo!!!

The photo you posted (I looked at the link) is from the West Elm website and they do ship to the UK.

(I've linked to the slate one but the steel blue is also on their website.)

If you wanted an alternative, the Silver Monroe set by Julian McDonald at Debenhams is a bit similar.

PS the headboard is not available for international shipping, sorry.
