Sanity check ... is this right??

  • Am I right in thinking that she would have to pay £85 a month to pay it off in 2 years?

from their website it states minimum monthly repayment (over 24 months) £500 - £53.30 per month.... it also states tho they dont collect by direct debit but by debit card only and they will only collect from the guarantor IF and WHEN the applicant fails to make payment from their debit card, they will also make prior contact with the guarantor before payment is taken from their debit card.... all seems really odd that he has been making all the payments from his account and she has been transferring the funds to him each month thats not how it works.....

while i completely understand that u feel is none of ur business as ud only been back together a short time id be kinda querying why all the info he has given doesnt make sense...

take a look at their website and ull see what i mean :)

This other girl whom he "just works with",shes not a big busty blonde by any chance?:think:
  • Apparently she paid the first couple herself then defaulted. He then started paying and she gave him the money back via DD. Then she cancelled the DD and started paying them herself by phone before the money went off his card. Hope that makes sense

  • . He has been paying it and she has had a DD going into his account to cover it. She cancelled the DD last week but has made a repayment today.

Doesnt really make sense given the 1st post to be honest anyway think he really needs to pay it off in full as has been said before it will be £547.50 as interest is accrued monthly then he'll either need to write it off or confront her and arrange a repayment plan. the other option is having him tied financially to her for the next 2 years which in my opinion is not a good idea ..... wish him good luck :)

if they have HIS bank account details, and the payments are coming out of HIS bank, that isnt being a guarantor?????

has he taken out a loan in HIS name, for HER?????

    either way, what a doughnut!!!!!!!!!!

I was just going to post the same thing...Why is it coming out of his bank account?
  • Just spoken to him and it seems he's an even bigger idiot than I thought.

He has never spoken to the loan company or filled in any forms. Apparently she asked him for his card and bank details and he gave them to her. The email address for him on the account is his hotmail account but with a missing letter. Looks like she may have created a new hotmail account to which the guarantor approval email would have been sent. She's obviously filled in the e-form (using the card details the complete moron gave her) and sent it back.

We just had a massive argument as I asked him how anyone could possibly be so stupid. He just said she was a good friend that he'd worked with for years and trusted. I asked him straight if he fancied her and he has convinced me he didn't ... he is just an idiot

  • that still doesnt make any sense...

Does my guarantor need to have anything ready for when you call?

    We will also confirm:
    The loan amount
    Their contact information
    Their income and expenditure
    Bank and card details
    Their responsibility as a guarantor
That they are happy for the loan to be paid into their account

somethings not right about it all, IF he says he never spoke to anyone regarding it then who gave them all the info when they called?? they will not pass a guarantor until they have credit checked them!! anyone other than the actual guarantor would fail basic security questions, date of birth, full address, ni number (which they do ask for as they asked my friend) never mind full income and expenditure details unless he gave her all of this info too .... its getting stranger and stranger to be honest... areu sure this isnt his own loan of £1000 that he told u he had got from 'his bank' that hes now struggling to pay back ???

The email address for him on the account is his hotmail account but with a missing letter.

How are u able to see what email is on the account if he didnt have any forms etc are u able to access the account???

  • What I cannot understand is how he thought he was only confirming that she worked for the company, yet willingly gave up his bank account information.

Whatever. We don't need to go into the why's and wherefore's. That's your business.

Suffice to say.....get him to get a straight forward loan and pray he can get any money at all out of his friend.

And then threaten him with death if he ever does it again.

And mean it so he knows!

I've read the site thoroughly and the application is by email only and they state "Our application process is just an online application, occasionally we may need to call either you or your guarantor to confirm some details but this doesn't always need to happen. Keep both your phones close just in case."
How are u able to see what email is on the account if he didnt have any forms etc are u able to access the account???

When they send him the first message to say she had defaulted they gave him a pin. You use this to access the account online. He noticed the email address wasn't correct
What I cannot understand is how he thought he was only confirming that she worked for the company, yet willingly gave up his bank account information.

    I think we've already established he's a moron lol
