OK I have a weakness for gadgets, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I have a cloned ipod with a "Chinglish" user guide which was great fun to play with but never really worked, despite all the rave reviews on Amazon where I purchased it.
The other day, passing through Tesco, I saw that they had an own brand 4gb MP3 player with FM Radio for £18.00. I could not resist buying one to put it through its paces. The advertised user guide was missing, but what do you expect for £18. I downloaded one from the Tesco tech support website, had a quick read, and opened up the player and turned it on.
Ha Ha. Here is where the fun starts. It is the Czech language version. On the front of the card in the bubble package it says 4GB MP3 player with FM radio (Retractable USB connector). On the back of the package card which is double sided, I looked again and it is all in Czech. Looks like in the factory they glued the wrong (English language) front to all the cards...
Now I am as up for a challenge as the next person, and I tried typing some of the commands into Bing translator, to get the English version, but some appear to be untranslatable. What for example does Ulozit mean? Or Skoncit? or Precinok?
So while it is quite fun, I guess I shall have to take it back.
I suppose it makes a change from Chinglish.
