in Credit cards
I have a barclay card Gold and applied for a Mastercard. They have agreed but will transfer some of the credit limit from the Gold card to the Mastercard. Is there any advantages of having 2 cards with Barclaycard and is there any benefits of having a Mastercard as oppossed to a Visa card?

I travel around alot. Recently was in Brazil and there I had lots of problems with using VISA. My HSBC Mastercard was fine. But not the VISA card, some places over there it was ok but it was 50/50.
The UK takes just about any card in any shop? Even corner shops here will be excepting cards soon I reckon.0 -
About 20 years ago our bank in France prefered Access instead of Visa, but now adays I think they are about the same. Either both are accepted or not. It's AmEx that shops don't seem to like...0

I would agree with the other posts... mastercard and visa are pretty much six and half a dozen..the only other thing i could of was:
if there was a problem with one of the networks, for example: mastercard quite often send my company a list of cards which they believe to be compromised....we then must block without warning... leaving many people without a card for a few days... if it did happen you would still have the card on the other network. But the chances of being on a mastercrd alert list are kind of rare i guess!
