    Not saying if it is right here, but sounds like you are getting confused between Section 75 claims and chargebacks.
    With a Section 75 claim VISA/the retailer is not involved assuming you are successful you get your money back from your card company (They may then try and reclaim the money from the retailer but that is a separate issue).
    With chargeback process is as you described above.

    In either case the OP will have to do some leg work to prove his case. Including something to show they have tried to resolve with the retailer.

    Via a visa c/b. They will have to prove a fault that was there from the start. Visa does not cover a fault that devolped afterwards.

    CCA. Will require the OP to prove breech of contract or misrepresentation by the retailer.
    Many people think that quoting CCA will see money going straight back to their accounts.
    Not that they have a lot of work to do, to prove their case. And that can take months to be sorted out.

    Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
