Best Oven Cleaner

I'm wondering if any of you could recommend any good oven cleaner and where you can buy it from?

They only do one sort in the Tesco /Sainsbobs near me and it's expensive and doesn't work that well.

I'm wondering if maybe Wilkos or somewhere else does a good value cleaner whcih is effective.

Another vote for Oven Pride , more like £3.95 in all of the bigger super markets.
Then use Lake Land oven liners

Thanks, I've seen the oven pride before but always think it's pretty pricey as reading the instructions it seems that you use it all in one application - which isn't very MSE when it's ~£4 a go.

I like keeping my oven clean on a regular basis rather than giving it a blitz when it's really mucky so am wondering if there's something more useful for this I could buy.

Tagging on to this, but does anyone have any recommendations for self-cleaning ovens? Unlike the OP I am a big fan of blitz cleaning.

Oven pride all the way for me!

I know it says to use the whole bottle on 1 application, but I normally get away with 2 -3 cleans per bottle. I just use a cheap washing up brush to apply the gel and find that I still get the amazing results as I would with using the whole bottle.

It would be really easy just to squirt the whole bottle on and leave it, but I find 5 minutes of brushing it on, saves about 2/3 rds of the bottle and I still get a gleaming oven!

Do you brush it on the shelves too ? - I think my oven side walls might be self cleaning though ? - they are a rough texture. How do you all manage the ceiling/roof bit of oven ? - its the worst part of mine.

Totally agree, Oven Pride all the way. I wasn't prepared to pay the £5 at the large supermarkets, so paid £3.?? at Poundstretchers, I am sure it was on a special when I last went there too. :)
