best drain unblocker (chemical)

bath not draining terribly well I have a long metal bendy wire that has pulled hair from the plug hole but im thinking that there is more hair down there.

Which is the best pour down fluid you can buy that breaks down hair?

  • I used one from Lidls and that did my sink and bath great. Were always clogging up the plugholes with hair.

Have you tried a decent plunger first - as removing the obstacles often better than trying to "dissolve" them. Even better is removing teh side panel to see if you can access the ubend and unscrew it all properly

One Shot is IMHO the best you can get. It will disolve grease, hair even paper towels. One thing though, it may not be needed. If you give the line a plunge then use it if it's still required. Don't be tempted to plunge a drain that has chemicals in it. One Shot is acid and will burn if you are not careful. Mechanical solution is always better than a chemical one but if it needs to be chemical thats the way to go.

There is no chemical that will "break down" hair.

Take the trap off and clear it out because thats inevitably where it will be.
