    Hi guys!

    My comp crashed just as i posted this post which is why i never replied!!!!!!!!!!!
    The tomaotes were BOGOF as was the tuna, and the hot cross buns were free on the internet site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I made a lasagne yesterday - made my own cheese sauce :-)
    I've made a lamb casserole type thing today but put too many lentils in and its really thick argh! Stretched the lamb to two meals.
    I'll get there.
    The wine was a treat for my money saving hard work!!!!!!
    How can i replace the ready mixes for casseroles etc?

    Have a look at the ingredients on the packet before you throw it away - what does it contain? If you use the same herbs/spices you should be able to replicate the taste. You can buy one different dried herb/spice each week & build up a good store cupboard. They last ages as you only use a teaspoon full or so at a time. A tin of tomatoes is a great base for a casserole (buy value rather than Heinz).

    Generally a casserole in this house is of the "make it up as you go along" variety - be brave & experiment!

    If you have a large market near you they may have a stall that you can buy herbs and spices from in small quantities or sainsbury own brand are good and quite cheap.

    When I make a chicken casserole I basicly just but thin gravey over the chicken along with carrots and onion... yummy!

    Pigs BAck = 1230 points
    Boots Card = £19.42
    Tesco points this 1/4 = 6523
    Tesco Vouchers saved = £65
