New boiler leaking into lounge!

Just had british gas fit a new boiler. We now have had a leak from a pipe under the floorboard into the lounge ceiling and a lovely brown patch on ceiling has appeared!! BG are repairing leak when they can source the correct item to fix it. Will they repaint the damage ceiling??

I don't know about painting it themselves but they should be responsible for the consequential damage. Just get paint on some Polycell stain stop then paint over the area once dry with emulsion.

Problem will be that when I repaint the damp patch it will probably be a whiter shade of white as the ceiling has not been painter for several years as it did not need doing!!

If there will be a whiter patch it sounds like an ideal time to re-paint. Don't forget the stain block though.
