Merging 2 credit cards. is it possible?

Hi All

i wonder if you can help. i have 2 credit cards. a granite card and capital one card and im wondering if it is possible to move my balance from one card to another so all the debt is under one card.

Capital one Limit £750 Balance £730
Granite Limit £2225 Balance £1700

is is possible to move them over to the Capital one card as its the better interest rate of the 2?

i know, they would need to increase my limit to do this.

a balance transfer isnt an option due to my credit rating.

You could BT one to the other, assuming you had the headroom. But as you say, you'll need a bigger limit. And I can't see that Cap One will give you a £2k increase.

You can only merge accounts if both are issued by the same lender.

Outside of that your option is a balance transfer which will incur a handling fee and require the increase in limits
