Oh thanks, just went through things in the house in my mind and realised the Wifi is on over night, another thing to switch offWe spend now about £1-2 a day on leccy (20p standing charge, dep on season) which will come down by about 10% with the new provider. Probably seems expensive to me as I was also still paying off bills from maternity leave when I was home all the time.
Hopefully another NSD (2) today, as I don't need anything. Needed cheese yesterday but cheated a little and sent hubby as he wanted to go anywayTomorrow I will need to spend as I need to pay for a tooth filling
Oooh, glad I reminded you of something else thriftylass, the old saying "two heads are better than one" sometimes works:D
That is expensive, but the bills from your maternity leave are probably affecting it. The new provider should make quite a difference, fingers crossed.
Eeek to the tooth filling tomorrow, hope it's painless......The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hmmm, I think Freud would be spot on - finding it really hard to switch off at night and get to sleep, then when I do I'm getting a couple of hours good sleep then tossing and turning the rest of the night. Thankfully I have a week off next week - just going to be at home chilling and doing the stuff i haven't had time to recently...unfortunately there seems to be a rather long list growing - could be a busy week afer all
Just hoping my wee body doesn't go into holiday crash mode
Hmmmm....... I recognise those symptoms and they're not good, especially if they go on for too long:(
I think you probably need some chill time next week kerri as well as doing the 1001 things on your list. Your poor brain and body need time to switch off and stop all that adrenaline flooding through them. Be careful, stress does some very strange things to you...
Take care xxrising_from_the_ashes wrote: »Awwww I actually don't have a purple bag already (quite surprising as I do have errrrrr one or two around).
Hmmm.... maybe I better not say how many purple bags I have then (or even how many bags I have:o:o) But..... I haven't bought a new bag in over two years so I guess I should be pleased with that.... possibly:orising_from_the_ashes wrote: »Didn't get around to posting last night as collected the new (to me) car :j:j:j - she's lovely and despite a bit of a panic since I'd paid the deposit, I do still like the colour!
Will take a bit of getting used to as a totally different way of driving .... but I'll get there!:)
Woohoo to the new car, you'll definitely get there and I'm sure your foot will see the benefit before too longbottleofred wrote: »Good evening folks,
Another busy day at work and I gave the gym a miss, as I tweaked a muscle last night at the demon spin class.
bottleofred wrote: »Spoony, the hangover from the wedding has well and truly subsided and I declared an abstinence from the wine (and all other alcohol:eek:) until 28th September (I'm off on holiday), but we'll see how the weekends go:(.
I'm glad the hangover has finally gone:). I guess if you have five alcohol-free days during the week that will give your poor liver a chance to recover before you're off on your hols, so maybe the odd glass or two during the weekend would be OK (note that I said "glass".... not "bottle":p:rotfl:)The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Right, Igor, let's see if the door is still open to all callers. Yes, glad to see some traditions don't change. Look at the muck in here, though, obviously there's been a lot of NSD hunting going on, leaving no time for housework! There's Freeby's peg, with the big 50 above it, and Spoony's peg, with the spoon picture...and here's my peg, still waiting for my coat.
Right, Igor, on the Pledges board I want you to put me down for
10 NSDs for September.
Okay, whilst we wait for the gang to get back from NSD hunting, stoke up the fire, get a pan of aardvark stew on the stove and crack open the turnip Chardonnay.
The Nargle is back!!!
Welcome back Nargle, it's good to see you again. Hope the exams went well - as you're back I'm guessing all's well?
I see Igor has a new menu for us to try out:) hmmm...aardvark stew, that sounds interesting;)marmiterulesok wrote: »Evening!

NSD # 2 for me today :j am exhuasted - work busy and I've spent 3 nights out of the last week dreaming about it (plus another yelling at a SA in M&S because they didn't have the bacon I wanted) Goodness knows what Freud would say :o
+ other snippits....
dont stress yourself about not sleeping because you will only not sleep more. do not make your bed associated with not sleeping either - very bad habit. if you cant sleep read a nice book for 15mins and then try again. if you would like more tips let me know, i have tried them all and the above was the best along with a strict routine.
your health is most important thing, i know it maybe hard but you need to rest and let everyone know that.
having gone through a very bad case of insomnia where my body from the stress of no sleep developed a blood disorder.IF YOU THINK YOU ARE SO CLEVER, THEN WHY ARE'NT YOU RICH?

Yesterday was NSD 2 for me and today is going to be NSD 3
I'm another one who is struggling to sleep - start of the new term and all that - it's really frustrating! especially when DH is asleep and snoring next to me....Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
