:j:j:jthriftylass - and well done to you, you’re on your way as well. Keep going!
Hope the new energy provider is much cheaper. Re electricity bills, do you switch everything off at the wall, it’s surprising how much electricity things use even when they’re switched off

Aye, we do, telly, computer, coffe machine - the lot. The only thing I need to watch is to pull the cord on the electric shower too. But apart from that only the fridge freezer is on overnight.
Oh thanks, just went through things in the house in my mind and realised the Wifi is on over night, another thing to switch off ;) We spend now about £1-2 a day on leccy (20p standing charge, dep on season) which will come down by about 10% with the new provider. Probably seems expensive to me as I was also still paying off bills from maternity leave when I was home all the time.

Hopefully another NSD (2) today, as I don't need anything. Needed cheese yesterday but cheated a little and sent hubby as he wanted to go anyway :p Tomorrow I will need to spend as I need to pay for a tooth filling

  • Well NSD #2 for me was yesterday.

Today was never going to be one as i'm going out for dinner with work tonight, so i took the opportunity to buy my magazines and a couple of bottles of water this morning. Tomorrow won't be one either as off to Weight Watchers.

  • Hello lovely NSDers!

Had a couple of spending days, as I succumbed to chocolate and cigarettes (yes I am very bad). I'm going to declare today as my 3rd NSD as I'm going straight home after work and won't be going out tonight.

This challenge has really helped focus my mind, I tend to have spending blackouts, where I suddenly realise I've spent money one lunchtime in Next (or other store)! It's not actually stuff I need, just something to relieve the boredom or to cheer myself up on a bad day. Looking around my house last night, I noticed just how much "stuff" I have, and none of it makes me happy. I'm going to list a couple of things a week on EBay, to have a clearout and earn some money.

Hope everyone else's week has been good!
