Charged interest on CREDIT balance!!!!!

I'm speechless!!!! After carrying out a balance transfer from my Virgin credit card I realised I had overpaid and ended up with a CREDIT of £23 still on the account. I left it for a month or two but then used one of their cheques to withdraw my £23 to bring the balance down to nil. Ha Ha Fool me!!
THIS MORNING I have received a statement from them CHARGING ME £3.00 for using the cheque plus 0.01 interest. This is stupid, it was a credit on my account!!! I feel like charging them interest on MY £23 have sat on for two months.
