He probably can't, since it was signed in store, no cooling off period is likely to exist. You/he needs to read the T's and C's of the contract.0

there is something about right of withdrawal but as he hasn't received the goods yet he can't return them, I though he would have 5 days at least to change his mind whether he signed in store or not, seems unfair that he has no rights at all...0

You only have a cooling off period if you signed away from their place of business or at a distance.
Your best bet is to refuse delivery and tell them in writing you are not honouring the contract. You will however be liable for damages which. Ould include an admin fee and any costs incurred by them in delivering the goods etc.
EDIT: read your contract to check if the above is true or not.

Why is it unfair? He of his own free will walked in to a shop and signed up for goods.....he didn't have to do that. If he shouldn't be making these decisions himself you need to keep a closer eye on him.
Looks as if he is lucky in this instance though.0 -

I would suggest he reads the agreement to see if Brighthouse as they are such a nice company have in the goodness of their hearts allowed him a cancellation period.....:)"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

If you are then follow the rules so users can be sure you are guine and not pretending to be like the other poster. This thread goes to show the importance of the rule, yet rather than getting verified as a company you resort to child like antics.
Why not follow the rules and address the query presented?0 -
arcon.....did you read that person's post after the first line? Pretty clear they are NOT from Brighthouse, but making a valid point in a pretty good way (IMO YMMV etc)One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

My post was simply to show the reason why getting MSE approval to post on behalf of a company is so important.
Sometimes breaking the rules can be good for showing why those rules are there in the first place.0
