Aaargh what is it when something goes t*ts up everything else does the same.
Kettle died and had to be replaced, hospital parking so far this month £20 and I have a blue badge.
This morning I had to buy a blood pressure machine because the gp says I have to take readings every day but luckily it was on offer at £10 in Asda.
We are at another party tomorrow night plus I need to buy a card and present.
Then two funerals 29th and 2nd with flowers to buy because they were close friends plus I have another three trips to hospitals one next week and two (So far) in February
To top it all DS spilled coffee over DD's BF's 3DS so that will be a repair bill I will end up paying for.
In March we have the MOT and Car tax
So February/March looks like very tight months, so the freezer and stock cupboard will be hammered.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Thank you Girlafraid xxx
It always finds a way to kick you at your lowest doesn't it.
But things could be worse, so onwards and forwards, keeping positive is the best thing, even though I want to scream, and shout and throw things, it won't make it go away.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Sorry BB! You're alwYs so helpful and I hate it when people are in this situation.
I seem to Have this every month, something happens or something breaks and we just don't have any spare cash to save for something happening.
Last time the car needed fixing it was just over £100 and that was my food budget gone for the month! So we lived off the £20 I had and luckily I had a fair bit of food in the cupboard and freezer.
I now keep a shelf just for emergency months with pasta and beans and instant mash wtc. Just incase.
I hate the way things are at the moment and can't see them improving. My husband already works 40hrs at minimum wage and we still struggle. We have young children and if I went to work we wouldn't be any better off
I hope some luck comes soon for you BB or at least a little break xI'm C, Mummy to DS 29/11/2010 and DD 02/11/2013

Us too - its a ridiculous situation. Unless miraculously someone doubles my hourly rate we seem to be stuck on the same income if I do 40 hours and the missus works or not!
BB hope things get better - you have been an inspiration over the last few weeks since I've been lurking on the thread.
Perhaps you should have a cupboard stocked with chocolate for just such a situation

It's rubbish! We also can't get a council house because hubby works so we're stuck paying fairly high rent too. The way things are it'll be us (the ones who work for not much) who starve before the ones on Benefits.
I've just made a lentil dal with some odds and sods, 3 old cloves of garlic, 2 old onions, 2 bendy carrots and 2 big handfuls of lentils. Plus some garam masala and some chilli flakes. Couldn't have been more than 80p and it made 3 portions easily!
Made a very nice lunch for me with an old tortilla wrap haha.I'm C, Mummy to DS 29/11/2010 and DD 02/11/2013
