i have recently used parcelmonkey for both collection and delivery, i paid insurance for a parcel i had collected from an ebay seller as the items were worth over £400 and fragile - this insurance it turns out is worthless as, unless you report any damage within 24 hours they refuse to payout! my son was on vacation and therefore was unable to inspect his equipment, he found over £100 worth of damage and ParcelMonkey are basically refusing to payout. Add to this another parcel i booked for delivery was not collected until the next day, no apology, no explanation, nada - very disappointed with this company and would advise all who are considering using them - you have a choice so DONT USE PARCELMONKEY!!!

As per their T&C's5. Making a Claim
5.1. For all claims for loss, theft or damage to your goods, you must make your claim within the following periods:
5.2. For damaged items, The Company must receive notice of your claim within 24 hours of the delivery date, with all paperwork regarding the claim submitted to the Company within 7 working days....
How long was it before the damage was reported ?katykitten wrote: »Add to this another parcel i booked for delivery was not collected until the next day....
Sorry - don't understand this bit.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
my son was unable to inspect the parcel within 24 hours, i regard this as an unreasonable period of time within which to inspect items especially at this time of year.
the second item was booked for collection on a monday within a very wide timeframe, for which i stayed in of course, the courier never appeared until the next morning - no apology no explanation, nothing!!0
