I've applied loads of times for Boots, I've done several similar jobs, can work the times they request but nada. I did once have an interview. I was told in the email that "Julia" would meet me on the shop floor at a certain time. I arrived promptly, no sign of Julia, I approached one of the make up girls who went up to an office to find out what was going on, then I was taken up there too and left sitting in a staff room for 20 mins until a man with the hairest nose ever came out and took me down to the shop floor to do an interview, lol. No explanation of why I was kept waiting, where "Julia" was etc. He told me I had the highest questionnaire score he'd ever seen, I did all the tasks fine, everything seemed very positive then a few days later I got an email saying I hadn't got it. I did ask for feedback but never heard anything. I've never got an interview with them again, it was very strange! I wouldn't bother to keep applying but they have two stores which are both really easy for me to get to and would be really handy so I keep trying... mind you the staff who do work there don't seem very happy!

From what I have read they have you doing various set tasks within the store. Such as finding an item, or stocking a shelf.

I applied last year and was rejected, but now have a job paying near enough double the wage - so more the fool them really.

I suspect that, as mentioned above, they must be looking for buzz words such as "self-motivated", "team-player", "honest", "hard working", and all the other BS that people describe themselves as on CVs. To me they don't really make any sense as anyone can *CLAIM* to be these things, and I personally think such statements are best avoided on a CV. If you can you need to provide good brief examples that illustrate such abilities, but then the computer can't search for the keywords then.
Wanted a job, now have one.
