Jobs at Boots

So, I have applied just now for a full time job at Boots but there was only a small box (100 words only) for a supporting statement and they only wanted the name of your last employer and job title.
Is this the norm? There was no where other than the 100 words to say anything at all about yourself or work history.

Wait till you get to the questionnaire bit. That is always fun. I applied about 3 times (one of the stores is down the road!) and got rejected as the computer said no.
Good luck!0 -
No didnt get that, just got an email at 9.16am saying I was not succesful but the job is still advertised. Very odd.Wait till you get to the questionnaire bit. That is always fun. I applied about 3 times (one of the stores is down the road!) and got rejected as the computer said no.

You won't have had enough buzz words for them. Presumably they have software that scans your application for key words. If you don't have enough of those then you won't progress.0 -
there was only the 100 words to write anything in so not sure how they can judge anyone on that and by the state of the people who work in my local Boots I do wonder how they got a job there. You won't have had enough buzz words for them. I have asked for feedback if they can supply as they still have the job advertised so not sure what they mean by saying they have more applicants that were suitable. Besides I worked at Superdrug when I was a teenager so I have experience of similar shops. Maybe it is cause I have accouts experience and not shop work in the last 20 years but then again they do not know that as you do not have to submit a cvKevInChester wrote: »I got rejected this morning too, what joy.0 -

thought you had space for a 100 words, maybe we now have an answer why you never got the job, add into that a lack of humour too, looks like these computers are not so daft after all

Job? It was to get an interview as you can't get the job without one these days.thought you had space for a 100 words, maybe we now have an answer why you never got the job, add into that a lack of humour too, looks like these computers are not so daft after all
